The running of the motor is continuously monitored and can be changed according to the user requirement. This project uses the most reliable wireless communication, GSM to carry on with the application.
The modem provides the communication
interface. It transports device protocols transparently over the network
through a serial interface. A GSM modem is a wireless
modem that works with a GSM wireless network. A wireless modem behaves like a
dial-up modem. The main difference between them is that a dial-up modem sends
and receives data through a fixed telephone line while a wireless modem sends
and receives data through radio waves.
GSM
modem will be interfaced with the microcontroller through serial interface. GSM
modem with the controlling unit will be fixed to the engine. Thus, the user has
to send the predefined message to the modem from his mobile. The GSM modem
receives this message and intimates the same to the microcontroller. Now it is
the job of the controller to operate the engine in accordance with the received
message.
