Abstract
The aim of this project is to reserve the tickets using RFID technology. The passengers will be provided with RFID tags. These tags contain a unique number. The passengers have to enter the source and destination areas to travel. The system calculates the amount to be paid and displays it on the LCD. The user has to show his RFID tag before the reader. The reader reads the number from the tag and records the ticket number on the tag number. The passenger has to finally pay the fare.
The significant advantage of all types of RFID systems is the non contact, non-line-of-sight nature of the technology. Tags can be read through a variety of substances such as snow, fog, ice, paint, crusted grime, and other visually and environmentally challenging conditions, where barcodes or other optically read technologies would be useless. This project can provide security for the industries, companies, etc.
The RFID reader will be present even in the train. When the passenger enters into the train, he has to show his RFID tag once again at the reader. The reader reads the number and checks whether this number has taken the ticket or not. Buzzer indication will be provided to indicate if the passenger has not taken the ticket.
